DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge No. 234: Colorful Seasons-2017/18 In-Colors

Time for the DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge, this week it is a "Product Spotlight" Challenge, featuring the new In-Colors for 2017/2018.

This week I was inspired by these 5 GORGEOUS new In-Colors...I absolutely love each of them.

I love the simple elegance of this card. It is quick and easy but the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper gives this sweet card a touch of elegance.

This paper reminds me of the fancy wallpaper patterns I would see while flipping through those gigantic wallpaper sample books, that weighed as much as a small child, to occupy myself (for what felt like hours) while my mom did her shopping.

Stamp Set: Colorful Season (NEW)

Paper: Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper (NEW), Fresh Fig (NEW), Whisper White

Ink: Fresh Fig (NEW)

Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits, Big Shot, Rhinestone Jewel, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (NEW)

It's All in the Details:

1. Adhere 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper to  3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Whisper White. Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Fresh Fig card base.
2. Stamp greeting (Colorful Seasons stamp set) on Whisper White with Fresh Fig ink. Die cut with 2-3/8" Stitched Shapes Circle Framelit.
3. Die cut 2-5/8" circle (Layering Circle Framelits) from Fresh Fig. Adhere Whisper White circle onto Fresh Fig circle.
4. Adhere circle layer to front panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.
5. Fussy cut a flower from a scrap of Fresh Floral DSP, adhere it to greeting panel and embellish with a rhinestone.

Stampin' Up! Video: Shaving Cream Marbling Technique

As promised yesterday, here is the video of the marbling technique.

I love it because it is super simple.

the supply list is short:

• shaving cream NOT gel
• Stampin' Up! Ink Refill
• a container to contain the first 2 ingredients (either a stamp case or a paper plate-I've used both and they both work equally well)

BOOM! and you are ready to make some magic! Or your own Designer Series Paper.

 

This is a technique that is fun no matter what age you are and could be a good rainy day activity if you have littles running around the house.

Or maybe not.

My mom and I had an afternoon to play recently while I was visiting her in Iowa

it was fun to see all the color combinations and each one was unique.

We experimented with different colors of ink and then we got a little wild and started using different colored paper.

Apparently we were so busy "playing on the wild side", I only took one pic of the colored paper-so sorry. 

You'll just have to trust me that it looked AMAZING too. 

Or better yet, give this technique a swirl.

This week I was inspired by all the beautiful spring flowers. I absolutely LOVE spring and all that it brings.

I love the combination of retiring and new products on this card.

• Don't forget a twist of the Silver Metallic Thread
• and the Silver Metallic Enamel dot in the center of the flower.

Time for the DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge, this week it is a "Color My World" Challenge.
