DOstamperSTARS Challenge #179: Love & Affection Glimmer Rose

 Hello Thursday!! 

Time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week is a "Home Sweet Home" challenge with lots of inspiration. 

When I looked at this picture, some of the thoughts that raced through my brain included:

• floral
• watercolor
• Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight

With all those oodles of options available, I stuck with a simple BUT sparkly card. I'm finding as I am gaining more life experiences (not getting older-getting wiser), I tend to enjoy simple and sparkly much much more. I really love the colors of this card and I hope you do as well.

 

 

What do I use to create this Simple but Sparkly beauty? aka Supply List

Stamp Set: Rose Wonder, Love & Affection *

Paper: Playful Palette Designer Series Paper *, Mint Macaron cardstock (CS), Very Vanilla CS and Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper

Ink: Versamark Ink

Embellishments: Copper Embossing Powder * -not sure I would call it an embellishment but it didn't want to be left out ;0)

Tools: Big Shot, Rose Garden Thinlets, Heat tool, Embossing Buddy

It's All in the Details

• Tip: You may not be able to see it in the photo but I DID NOT glue the leaves of the rose down, in fact I crumpled them up to give a little dimension and interest to the card. If you're wondering how I glued the rose down-Fine Tip Glue Pen #138309

• Remember your Embossing Buddy is your friend. It will help reduce static on your paper giving you a crisper cleaner image because your embossing powder will stay where you put it.
