It's Thursday Challenge time.
This weeks DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge is a Home Sweet Home challenge. The challenge picture contained a plethora of inspiration as you can see below.
Where does one even begin?
- Teapots
- black and white color scheme
- floral image
- strings or twine
- checker board
- So many paths a person could take, what shall I do?
Alas, I remembered seeing a beautiful card that was created by another very talented demonstrator Dena Rekow and I thought to myself, "Self, you should give that idea a whirl". Well, mine did not turn out exactly the same but I do believe I like it and I hope you do also.
What do I need to create this beauty? aka Supply List
Stamp Set: Botanical Blooms
Paper: Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Basic Black Cardstock (CS), Melon Mambo CS, Crushed Curry CS, Old Olive CS, Mossy Meadow CS (retiring at the end of May)
Ink: Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad and Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, Gold Metallic Thread, It's My Party Enamel Dots
It's All in the Details
- Tip: To add a little extra oomph to the leaves I stamped them with the matching ink to create a little more visual interest and texture.
- Tip: Another way to add texture is to "pop up" some of the leaves and petals with Stampin' Dimensionals.
