I am so excited to share with you this weeks DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge. This week our jumping off point was this very sweet cupcake drawing. Lots of elements to use as inspiration....cupcakes, colors, party, cherry, birthday, confetti and the list goes on and on and on.

So many options to pick from with this inspirational photo, what's a girl to do??

Well dear friends, this is what I came up with. I hope you like it as much as I do. I know a very special lady that will be celebrating her 90th birthday soon and I can't wait to pop this little gem in the mail to her.

DSC#169-Sketch Pad

Good Day Friends.

This week's DOstamper Thursday Challenge was to create a card from this sketch:

 

 

This type of challenge is always fun for me because the basic idea is provided so all I have to do is have fun picking out the details and accessories. I couldn't make up my mind so I ended up with two cards for this sketch...same design different colors. And I love both of them. Please leave me a comment and let me know which one is your favorite.

 

Mint Macaron Option

 

This was the first one I made with the beautiful 2015-2016 In Color Mint Macaron and silver. I love this color because it reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, which is one of my favs.

The second card I made was with Blushing Bride and Gold. To be honest, Blushing Bride was not a color I used too terribly much until this new Occasions catalog. In the past if I wanted to use pink, my first choice was ALWAYS Pink Pirouette followed by Melon Mambo. I have to say Blushing Bride is one of my new favorites-I especially like it paired with Gold as in this card. I think it is lovely and I hope you do as well.

DSC#168-Color My World

It is time for another DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge. This week's challenge was a Color My World challenge. I absolutely love this color combination because it is bright and spring-like. And spring is my favorite season!!

 

 

The card I created this week reminds me of pink lemonade, which reminds me of summertime. And if you hadn't guessed it yet, summer is my second favorite season. I have so many fond memories of my grandparents-fishing from the dock, floating dinners on the pontoon and of course, drinking pink lemonade.

A few of things that I adore about this card are the lemons on the Designer Series Paper, the sentiments & font from the stamp set Me=Grateful.
